The Fat Lady is a great light wind kite. I am 100kg and I get out in 10 knots.
Hi , I have a big girl. 75kgs on a twinny I get between 10 and 20 knotts
I found the lady likes to try and pull me off my edge, especially during transitions.
Great floaty kite if you like to jump.
I like the fat lady, but mine is a current model.

Hi Amnon,
The Fat Lady is a great light wind kite. It turns well and has really nice grunt.
My only criticism is the front bridle can get caught around outside wing tip when self launching. This can be avoided with a little care.

Bull****!
Sorry but even the Zephyr struggles in 10knots. The only kites I know of that can give you a good run, upwind, and even then on a large board or directional....
...are foil kites.

Hi Lofty, next time you are in Sydney I will happily show you ...... My 23 inch wide fish (volume is probably 40+ litres) and/or skim board are somewhat helpful.
But I must admit, a foil does sound very interesting.
So there is no big difference between fl v1 and fl v2&v3
Take the kite
The Gen 1 was not bad turning but not as good bottom end, 12knots (also old bar design).
The Gen 2 has a greater bottom end and still good turning, 10 knots comfortably. I would only ride it on the bottom knot on the back lines. I found it didn't lose bottom end and found it a lot easier to go upwind.
The Gen 3 has fixed the up wind capability with maintaining the bottom end and also has a good turning speed for a big kite. I am happy to ride down to 9-10knots on a twin tip, 8-9knots on a surfboard and I'm around 90kgs.
With all kites, don't be afraid to depower them as you'll be amazed how much you can trim them and then shoot upwind so much easier.
If the kite is second hand I would stay away from it, my 2012 FL delaminated after a year of irregular use.
