My Comments:
From the box ,to the beach, the best kahoona V3. 7.5M

This looks like a nice kite from the time you take it out of the box you can see the extra work & detail gone into the kite. It comes with a Quick bag & a nice well finished backpack. The print & art work on the kite looks good as well as the reinforcements on the strut ends attaching to LE.

There is a fast to slow, light to heavy settings on the rear wing tips. We used the fast at first the wind was all over the place & gusty. In the lighter wind, the kite if sitting still would like to back stall, this changed on the slow setting. Turning speed was fast but still very much like the 9.5M. That I feel is a good thing so in the surf changing kite size wouldn't freak you out!

It was hard to get a good feel for the kite because of the wind but I must add it did fly well & when most of the kites fell out of the sky the Kahoona did not fall but drifted to the side of the window, then when manoeuvred on its LE to the center of the window would roll straight over or reverse launch with eaze. Holds a good shape in the sky even in gusty conditions.

I think the kite holds a better shape because of the more pronounced segmented LE, you can see in this Pic & the new improved rip stop canopy.

On the bridle they have got rid of the rings & added a new part (looks of cast metal).

If you have not seen the new Pro Red Line Bar, this is it.

Hope to do a better test tomorrow out on the water & also hope you found this Informative. If you have had a go on this kite, I would like to know what you think.

PS this last one is for Bennie, as you like Cut & Paste so much !

Please if possible follow up with more detail on it's flight characteristics. If possible put someone on it who owns and uses V2's, if not try and fly them back to back - if possible of course...

Probably be down at Beach 1 around lunchtime hoping for a full afternoon.
Earlier still if theres wind early.
Might even throw in a few snaggers so you can top up between gear changes - if its not TOO windy ie

Looks like you guys will be doing this.[}:)]

Please note the Dye will run if you pack the kite up wet for the first time. You have to wet it in salt water then let it dry to set the dye in, or next time you unroll it you will get upset.
