I'm after a little advice from the Bandit Dos users on the forum. I currently have a quiver fo 12/10/8 Bandit Dos but I'm considering changing to a 14/10/7 quiver. I'm around the 100kgs mark using a 135*38 TT, 5'10'' surfboard and a nobile skim. Do you think this would be a good idea. I've found all the kites powerful for their size but wonder if a 14m is needed with a skim. Also I wonder whether, as where I kite high wind means gusty, that a 7m would not be powerful enough in the lulls.

I was out on the 8m when others were on 10m kites and was well powered. The F-One website states the 8m is good upto 40knots for someone who weighs a lot less than me but is this possible in reality?

Rider: 100kgs, intermediate (beginner,intermediate,advanced)
Style: Surf & Freeride
Weather: Anything from 14 knots to 35+ knots
Disclosure: Shop rider (UK)

I am 80kg and have a 2008 9m Bandit and a 12m Dos. These kites do me fine in most conditions, and am thinking of swapping my 9m for a 8m Dos soon. I reckon for your size the 12m and 10m Dos are too close together in size and you would be better off getting the 14m. I'd go the 14/10/7 kites. Most probably wouldn't use the 7m much though only on really winy days 25knts +. That's what I reckon, but I am reasonably new to kiting though, only been doing it for a year.

i'm 95kg dry

with the BDos you have to have a 10m then build a quiver around that.

the 12m is very grunty and the one we used over Xmas worked/was used in 12-22kts.

over 16kts the 10 was in its element and as we only had winds a few times to just over 30kts the 10 was still in the groove.

a 7 or 8 would swap nicely with the 10 at say 22-25 kts.

as for a 14m viable if you have no intention of waiting past 18-20kts to switch to the 10m

I would look at the 14m as part of a 2kite quiver, say 14-9m.
and staying with a 12 as the big kite means all your quiver uses the same size bar.
