White Noise - Shape and volume, 32 Ltrs about right in compromise between prone and kite surfboard.
Construction sounds good weight V's strength.
New FCS Fin system sounds good.
Yep just about sold it to myself.
Never seen one on the water or the beach.
Any BWS Ambassadors able to comment or joe average who has had a go.
Especially if you've surfed and kited the board in the 75kg range.

I am pumped for some reviews on this!

I have only seen one. They have plenty of volume.
My mates were catching plenty of waves paddling it, they reckon it surfed well too.
FCSii looks like a great system as well.

I am wondering what makes this board so good for kiting and surfing?

-Is it the shape that BWS has worked on with DHD that defines this board and is a good compromise between surf and kiting? Both guys rip so I’m sure they are on a winner here.

-Is it the construction? The glassing is 6 on the bottom and 4 and 4 oz on the top, this is a standard glass job isn’t it? The carbon inserts on the tail will help of course.

I guess I will have to wait for some reviews and to see one in the flesh before speculating but I am too impatient!

I reckon with a board like this you'd want to go the lowest volume you could reasonably paddle. For me that's the 5'9 @ 70kg

Too much volume can be a real b*itch when it's nuking.

haha we've returned to the volume surf v kite question. geez man your getting stronger your volumes lower than our last exchange.
your old drifter still going good but not enough for my paddle strength.
my interest is the 5'11" at 31ltrs probably a little much for nuking conditions but enough chest float for an old man.
what I really liked about the white noise was Darren Handley shaping a surfboard for kiting and the construction trade off between weight and strength.
very hard to get strength without weight, diagonal lay ups, eglass and epoxy pretty good trade off, it won't make the board unbreakable but will make light enough to surf.
been disappointed in the production kite/surfboards not keeping up with surfboard design. my airush compact is bullet proof and high tech in construction but doesn't surf like my banged up old drifter.
Still keen to hear from white noise owner is it as ben w says? Is it similar in weight to the drifter, mulcoy or rawson?

The board looks sweet.
But being designed and tested a lot as bw says on the Goldie, it would be good to see the promo vid include typical Goldie/NSW east coast conditions, being the n/easter with small mushy waves.
Not as appealing to the eye as Namotu i guess but more realistic conditions to the average punter.
So Ben get some footage at your local.

Yeah looks great and would be fantastic to have a board that does it all - I want one. But I'd really like to be able to grope one before dropping over a grand. Be nice to be able to order with different fin boxes, I've invested in futures over the years. At a $150 a set it adds up. Tick a few of those items & I'd happy order one today.
