Hey everyone,
Ever since moving to the ocean (and away from flatwater) I've been planning to get a surfboard under my feet instead of a twin tip. It hasn't happened yet, mostly because I have to buy a board and they are not cheap and I have no idea what to even pay attention to when buying one.
Anyway, there's this one brand that I have seen in several shops now and I have no idea what to think of it: Graffiti.
Supposedly they were a copy cat of the Naish Global before Naish threatend legal action, or something. But they are A LOT cheaper. Basically a used Global can cost more than a brand new Graffiti. I attached a picture Google threw at me.
Has anyone ever tried one? Are they worth the money? Especially for me as my first surfboard?
Not a bad first board, very durable and priced well too. However I thought they were a little heavy under foot also stiff but I like surfing so I prefer a board that feels like a surfboard and has a light feel. ont be afraid to ask your local shop to DEMO one first before you buy !
Thanks troytam.
It's good to hear that the board is not a complete lemon. I might be able to afford one. The other option is to buy a used better brand board. But I don't even know what to pay attention to when buying a used surfboard. Give me snowboard and I know what I want and what to pay attention to, but watersports gear is SO different...
I'll try to demo one, you're right there. But unfortunately I don't think they had a demo version. Well, the choices... ![]()
