Waiting to hear some reviews on this kite, I believe some demos are available so interested in some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

I only had a 20 min session on the 10m, on Land so can't give you to much.

Previously flown Airush razors and been off the water for a year and half so any kite would feel good :)

The kite itself is defiantly a step up quality wise, the leading edge has been reinforced between the middle and 1st struts, and there is a layer of dacron on the connection between l/e and canopy ripstop.

Wind was about 18knts gusty as hell, the kite handled lovely no stalling, got a nice bit of grunt behind it, if I were to compare it to any kite on the market would be the rpm.

I had some fluttering when de-powered but nothing out the normal, can't wait till I can get a good session out on it,

I do have a guy who tried them and ordered a whole quiver, I will see if he can write me a review and I will pop it on here for you.

Sorry it isn't to in depth, it's hard to compare it to other kites been off the water so long.

The New 2013 Catalyst 10m from Ozone is amazing this year, got to demo this in 20-25knots, complete new kite, more hybrid open C shape, super easy re-launch massive depower and very responsive steering, I personally loved how it trucked at such a low angle while riding, made hitting tricks off chop so much more controlled. It loaded up nicely for tricks but if the wind dropped a little i found my pop load would die, id kill the kite, but i think its something i could adapt to by adjusting how much i edge into the trick. it boosted well and looped like a hybrid, safe and not as grunty, but if it was 30knots i would'nt hesitate to bang this into a loop, which is always a good thing. One of my fav's that i have kited for 2013 so far. Oh and i reckon this kite would work well in the waves, im a great believer of piloting the kite and the kite is a tool that you adjust to, this is a good all-round tool to use for any style of riding

Thanks for that
I have been riding 2010 RPM's. Time for some new kites and I want to get away from the pulleys and back to a direct steering kite like Ozones. I have avoided the Cat in the past as I wanted a bit more bottom end (tested a 2010 Cat and C4 when I bought the RPM's, mind you I believe the RPM's could do with a fraction more bottom end in the larger sizes for me and my local spot)

Would you know how it compares to an RPM?

How does it compare to C4 (I guess 2012 C4 since we are still waiting for 2013)?

At the moment I am waiting for the C4s but I am reading more good stuff about the Cat and wondering whether to bite the bullet and go fro the Cat.

Cheers

Well i have ridden the 2012 C4 quite a few times, the main difference for me was the kite loop, it loops differently to the C4, i found its more pivotal and has less grunt through the loop, i like the C4 for its looping when its pumping. The new Cat is such a different kite to last year, i would have never considered the older models but after my session i decided i wanted one, but i have decided to wait for the C4 to come out as i dont want to make a big call with out trying it. Id say if your a free rider then you can't go wrong by choosing the Cat but if your fully into freestyle or wakestyle then id say wait and see how the C4 2013 turns out. Also again if your into surfing and freestyle i think the Catalyst is a good kite for both.

So I have the review on my site, sorry if it's a bit slow to load it's still under development.
This review is from a wainman rider who used to compete in the pkra a few years back.

Sorry there are no pics I will happily pump one up and take some if needed, I would appreciate it if you read it from the site as it helps the stats, us small guys don't get seen to often :D

From the u.k so won't be able to send you a demo out as postage is pretty expensive however will do my best to get pics and answer any questions for you.
