I've been wave-kiting on North Rhinos but come to the conclusion that they are not ideal, they don't like slack lines and I'm scared the fifth line is going to get wrapped around the kite in the surf one day.
So far any the only reviews I've found (apart from Mitsubishis
) have been in German and snow-kiting oriented. Anyone tried them? I'm a bit worried that they won't have the performance or low-end grunt. It'll be interesting to see how they compare against Revs and Switchblades, which seem to be the best so far this year.
There is no point saying "insert random brand of kite here" is the best wave kite, because it depends on whether they want to drift the kite or swing the kite around anf follow it for starters.
If you want a kite that will handle slack lines well I think any of the new hybrids will do that, but the Airush DNA, Ozone Light, North Evo(I'm just guessing by looking at it) will do this particularly well.
But if you enjoyed the speed of your rhinos, then as Bellie said, the Airush Generator is a sick option(although it probably isn't the best option for most kiters).,
Thanks
Matt
PS Sorry to hi-jack the past
Not sure if they are here yet, i'm grabbing a couple when they do arrive to try out and will do a review when i get some good waves on them.

if you want a north kite with good drift i found the 08 vegas fits the bill better than the 08 rebel and prob the rhino too for that matter... you can realy back stall the vegas so the lines are totaly slack without it falling out of the sky but drifting across the window by itself.
sorry got nothing on the evo.. doesnt look like its my type of kite anyhow... if you can demo the vegas try that one as well as evo would be a smart move!
Vegas does seem to lack bottom end than the other north models.
