well got out on the 60 on saturday . Only a handful of people out at melville so left me plenty of room to dust off the cobwebs and do some impressive stacks :)
Different feel with the 2 rear straps instead of the 3 . I might put the single rear strap on and try it to see if there is any difference .
Will also be interesting to see how the board performs with 3 fins as opposed to 4.
In terms of ride handling i didn't really notice much difference to the v2 but i've only had one session so far .
In regards to the straps well like gorgo i never adjust mine using the ringpull so maybe that's why i never had an issue . Seiously though eppo are straps enough to really sway a decision . Don't like em , switch em for something else and besides i thought you had already bought a 54 ?
Yeh I have the 54 dusta and bloody love it. Had it for mum maybe 2 months and had at least 15 sessions, so not bad for winter!!
Dusta ya having trouble switching ya feet? Can't say I was the most fluid, bordering of kookvile at times but functional. But generally 1 out of 2 now are quick and fluid now.
Whats going wrong maybe I can advise.
Not only has it got me out 15 odd times just on the sector you can add 5 to 6 more sessions when I had it on the beach and swapped it over in the lulls and back on the wave or shinn when it hits again.
I'm riding waves now (not as good as the wave or a SB but functional), and doing most of my transition rolls with downloops. So can't fault it, for what it is. Love it.
Seems like demand is greater than supply at the moment with this year's sector. Tried to get a demo in VIC...no chance in the short term. Does anyone know of any dealers with stock of the 54 or 60? Or am i dreaming?
My GF called up the ZU on tuesday and they said there was 1-2 month wait on the 54, so I called up airborne kitesurfing (airbornekitesurfing.com.au/) and they had one in stock. 3 days later it was at the ZU ready to be picked up. Now waiting for some wind to try it out.
So give airborne a call and see if they have any left.
