One of the Kitesurf Gold Coast team riders tested the Z-Series over the weekend. they were loviing it. The Z-Series looks flash and rides so smooth, plenty of pop and upwind ability.
They also have the Flip which is the beginner and school board. Great value for money, solid construction, light weight and nice graphics.
You can organise a demo yourself and buy online www.kitesurfgoldcoast.com
PM us if you have any questions or want information on ABoards in your area. Glen and the team @ ABoards have got a great distribution of product around the country so go check them out.
george here i just got mine at noosaville. went straight out in the surf for a ride on the X series, didnt think I would like it. I was wrong it is fast and controllible really different I enjoyed it.
have fun george
I did a 25km down winder on the X-series yesterday. Winds were pretty light, around 12-14knts and was on the 14 Nemsis Hp.
The biggest thing I noticed straight away was how smooth the boards was. Its probably the most comfortable board I have ridden to date. I was in both chop and smooth water and it performed real well in both.
The pads and straps at first glance werent as pimped as the rest of the board but that concern was out the window once you feel how comfortable they are.
The board tends to have a skatey feel, but only when ridden flat, if you edge the board hard it bites in and throws you upwind. I did find when riding super fast the front heel side edge would sometimes catch and throw a spray of water into your face, but think this would get better as you become more used to it.
I come from a Wake and Boots back ground and havent really forund a board of late to make the transition back to straps but think after a few more rides on this one I will like it more and gain the confidence to mach out the big moves.
Well done A-boards.
thanks Glen also for the demo in Mackay.

I went and had a demo of the x and z a few weeks ago in 25 to 30knots on an 11m ozone kite with the guys at Liquid Surf Designs at Scarborough (queens beach)
and was blown away by the light weight, responsiveness, upwind and the look. Pull some big air, they both land well pop well and handle big filthy chop as well as the smooth stuff! There were even a few waves worth riding on this day and carving off the lips were easy. Cant say a bad thing about this board.
