Choice now has one to demo so i stole if for the day and gave it a good old testaroo

I tried it at woodies flat side
The wind was just over 20 knots according to the graphs and I went from one side of the sweet spot to the other during the sesh, only pulling in the depower when unhooking.

Kite at a glance
The actual kite is well built, fairly reinforced in critical positions and plenty of scuff pads.
The bar, I thought I had picked up a best bar at first from the colouring and grip moulds. I preferred this bars spacing to the best personally but that's definitely a personal preference thing.
The lines have extensions so you can either ride short lines in the surf or normal length on flat water or when ever really.
The one pump worked effortlessly and the actual pump was 2L and white [good quality pumps says a lot about the company's ethos]
The chickenloop is hard plastic, im not sure how hard wearing this will be in the long term, it comes with a spare but I would think that it is more for if you manage to loose one when activating the safety which was brilliant btw.
next thing was the depower strap that was thankfully simple to use.

Flying characteristics
Its on of those kites that you feel is helping you... its just so simple and effective.
It wasn't to fast but definitely not slow it made me very appreciative of the NEWs speed and power as it was a step back from the fast turning and even power delivery. This nobel is very much a bridled kite and feels like many others. Its turning was fast enough and delivered a very even pull especially when looped but I didnt do anything to really test it in that department as i dont want to hurt myself before head of the river. The only problem for me was it had a point that it would suddenly depower or power up from and the bar throw either side was far more precise in your control, i guess its a good thing once your used to its location, i only noticed it for the first 5 minutes and then it didnt play much part.
its depower is effective and the kite is almost as good as the rev when left to fly at max effective depower.

Off the hook
its an easy to fly kite unhooked, its very stable and happy to keep going for long periods without attention unlike the switchblade i flew a few weeks ago but that was weird experience all round. hooking back in is made easy by its reverse Niash style device that keeps the hook straight although during passes that would twist 90deg easier than the bigger version on the Niash does. It was very stable and didnt flutter when drifting during fast landings.

Relaunch
wow... so easy, might as well not even bother with suicide its so simple and effective.

other
I did manage to swing under it because im so used to insane turning speed but it highlighted the kites ability to fall out the sky, the NEW and rev keep upright for me when i do that, this might have been a one off and i wasnt willing to kook it up again to see if it was.
Its fast, its not common but i was easily over taking people with this kite.
Boost, yes i gave it a try and it goes adequately high only it hurt my back a bit in its effort to send me into geostationary orbit. at the time i found this amusing although a bit worrying.

Meh, im not good with words so just demo it from choice yourself for instant smiles... unless you cant afford a new kite... maybe dont find out what your missing out on

I had a quick run on the prototype one a few weeks back. Only about 10mins. I didn't have to relaunch it, but it was a nice fly, managed to jump alrite on it ( I am crap at jumping kites with lower bar pressure, as I learnt on xbox2, with heavy bar pressure, but im getting there now).
However I also found that I tended to swing under it coming down, its probably me not being used to it, but i did notice it, (because i almost sank after landing).
