My Comments:
Hi everyone, i have a 14m Contra, looking to get a second kite, thinking of either a 9 or 10m kite, possibly a Dos, nearly everyone says a 10 & 14 is a good quiver, but people i have spoken to say i could get away with a 9 in a Dos cause they're so grunty, anyone with experience with this?
definitely 9 m,
or sell your 14 m Contra and get 10&7 m DOS it should cover you ( 68 kg) from 12-13 knots to 35 knots.
But personally I am Takoon Furia1 fan,great kite,smoother,holding gusts much better,fast turning,the best depower.
If you are interested get in touch with Alex or AAron from "Stonker" Torquay,VIC.
Good luck .
If you are going to get a DOS to go with a 14 Contra I wouldn't go any bigger than the 9.
They are fairly grunty and by the time you are struggling on a 9 you should be able to fly the 14 comfortably.
Of course a 9m2 kite. 10 & 14 a great quiver????? Who have you been talking to? Some 100kg freeriders? YOu weigh only 68kg, you should go like 6 & 9 or 7 & 10 m2 kite quiver. If you plan to do some freestyle tricks and cool moves then you should go with a C-kite. Else go with some kind of hybrid or this years sigma kites.
This year's Naish Sigma line has been this years hot seller. Especially the Helix 09.
I ride a quiver of 3 kites Naish Torches (6,8,9) and i weigh like 10kg more than you.
Mostly i use the 8 Torch. Pure freestyle, pure power baby!
