Anyone try a Shinn King Gee?

I'm looking for a light wind board, not a plank tho. Used Nobile XTR, and it has great pop, but I would prefer a board with just a little bit more rocker, more comfortable in the chop I guess. None at my local shop to compare to the XTR.

Thanks

yep, I'm demoing the 146 x 46. Like hot knife through butter for smoothness and is super easy to pop and trick with. With an 11m kite I can do 12knts on flat water and 10-11 kts on a 13m kite in same water (no current) Is a fun machine but I'm gonna go the 150 x 50. it won't turn and jump as good but it will do 7kts under a 17m so bring it on. I had the King George and tried heaps of other LW boards. These are easily the funnest and defo the smoothest.

Have you tried the w18 speedball?i find it super fun, and really good in the light stuff, although some people say not, surprises me!

In the olden days I tried every lightwind board option I could get my hands on. Generally they are dogs BUT thats sort of the come-down you have to wear when you are chasing lightwind.
I can honestly say that the King George or King Gee from Shinn is one lightwind board that does offer up some real regular TT like performance. I have a few super-sized customers (100kgs+) who are riding the KG's as their regular TT quite happily.

The Speedball is coming out with an even wider, 132 length board in the May delivery - the W20. Very much worth a demo by all heavy weights & anyone else looking at kiting action in lighter winds. Give them some time though - they take some getting used to & some time to really dial into the riding style they need to really perform for you. Not your everyday TT.
