Not a review, but the product video has just been released. I guess any reviews could follow on from here..

IMO, well worth watching. Patrick gets some serious height on a couple of the jumps. Check out 2:30

The Catalyst looks great! I'm sure it will do very well this year.

Thanks for an excellent video Rob.

No, I'm not attached in any way to Ozone.. I just happen to appreciate great kite design and construction.

I think my reos will be getting traded for new cats this summer. Just got to demo to work out the right sizing.

Any changes besides the paint job?

Plenty of Cats in stock, except the new 7M and 9M sizes they are due in about 3-4 weeks. The canopy has had a paint job with small tweaks, but the bridle has been tweaked a lot, very impressed with my 90 minute session on the 10M 2014 Cat last night. All Ozone kites from now have the new and very tough one pump connection, new push away chicken loop, bolder graphics and colours.

I've got a 10m. Been out on it once. So far so good. I havent ridden enough kites to really compare it with anything (other than Reo's), so I cant offer anything in the way of a review

Maybe it's just me, but I couldnt care less about the colours and the graphics. Well, maybe if it had a picture of a giant cock and balls I'd most likely think about getting something else, but otherwise meh.

Love that cruiser pro, was on it the whole time in bali with you folk.

Bridal changes can make a big diff, be interesting to see how it flies. Trailing edge cut away a bit to the first strut, turn quicker maybe? Almost spy a little more aspect in it, with slightly more swept tips, might be just an optical illusion from the video. But by Christ how good is that young rider!!

One thing is for sure, the perfectionist the designer is, it will be be a better kite.

Got my replacement cruiser, I am complete again! Lol. Jason's shop floor was like Aladens cave, reos, cats and the new bar. Ooooh shiny shiny new kites all waiting to be ridden. I have only stopped drooling after the 30 min drive...lol

What about wings instead of balls?

A penis with wings is totally acceptable.

1st impression 2014 12m cat, me 95kgs, used axis patrol lw tt wind. south 13/21 knots safety bay pond. Normally would be on my zephyr 17. I was pleasantly surprized with session was planing for most off it, free ride and some boosting. Basically same kite as previous model, some improvements. I feel I could work through lulls sining easier 13/15 when less powered, appears to turn faster and absorbs gusts 19/21 better, felt smoother and more stable. this for me would be a 15/25 knot kite. Started to get more lively 17 plus, my favourite, nice to boost/ down loop and got several jumps with that second lift. I enjoyed 2013 model kiting last summer/winter, I look forward to more sessions dialing in and extracting on 2014 model , an all round kite for the majority of kiters. Good job Ozone. I buy my gear happily, thanks Jason/Sonya Westoz for service and supply

Apparently the 9m is now available for ordering, at least the dealer has received the email from Ozone. However it seems that it is not yet in the tool for ordering. Any news on when it will be really available? Strange that they sent the email, but not switch it on the system

I don't think you need a 14m for 15-20. wouldn't a 12m do the job if your focusing on waves?
