Has any one tried this board? I know for 2014 Cabrinah Custom comes in two styles the CBL and the Premium Wood. I am more interested in the Premium Wood version as it's apparently more for freestyle. I am looking for an upgrade to my board which is about 4-5 years old, flat bottom, 140x43. As a rider I am in the intermediate level. My style of riding is more free ride but I am getting a little into freeride.
I tried to find some good reviews, other than from the manufacturer but did not find any. Any views comments are appreciated.

Not sure what the difference is there, but either way the custom is not really a free ride (or freeride) board
i got a custom cbl 2014 but use to have a 2010 custom. just remember that most wakestyle boards need to be larger then your freestyle boards due to rocker etc so check the manufacturers specs to see what size you should be useing. if your normaly a 135 may need to get a 140.
apart from that, shes nice. i still find the cbl to slippery without fins on so i kinda wish i just went with the standard custom. but maybe i just need to clean out my vagina and get better at edgeing allready. bombproof build as opposed to my xcaliber 2013 which ive had replaced twice and self fixed several times after being to annoyed with slow return rates from cabrinha. (just araldyteing the ptex back on simple ****) now obviously the xcaliber upwinds alot easier but also with straps allows me to ride more often as i dont need as much wind.
had a good googlefu of the carbon basalt stuff basicly its a new cheaper to produce carbon fibre. if the standard custom has no cbl or carbon makes me wonder if rideing it with boots wont rip out the inserts if there small like some other boards?
I meant to say that my style is more of a freeride but trying a little frestyle. In any way i am not about to try any unhooked jumps etc.
Thank you for your feedback. I think this confirms this board may not be for me. I probably need something more designed for freeride.
I also looked at the Naish Motion which is probably more for me.
Cabrinha made a mistake in naming this board the Custom because it leads to people who don't know better into saying it must be like the old Custom. They are in reality, not the same boards. The standard custom has a softer flex, lower rocker, narrower stance options, bigger fins, and a better base for freeriding. It is a phenomenal board for riding in choppy conditions, freeriding, boosting, throwing some tricks, and carving. It's one of the only boards I would feel comfortable competing on (my mate Dan Sweeney won the aussie nationals event on it) and take out to mess around freeriding as well. I would recommend this board to anyone who is intermediate to pro. My 2 cents and I have ridden the **** out of every 2014 Cabrinha board (and many before that). Cheers!
It is so difficult to chose or even narrow down from all the boards. The only way to know for sure, if the board will be suitable for ones ability is to try it I guess. So the best time to buy a board would be in season but the sales are on now :(
Do you bite the bullet and buy based on what you read or hear from others and save, or test in season and pay more only to find out that your gut feeling was correct ;)?
