Disclosure: first time on another kite
I have just replaced my core gt 10.5m with a 2013 cab SB 11m. Don't get me wrong I really liked the gt ( I also have an 8m gts) but the SB was just fantastic. The immediate difference is the bar pressure, so light.. The gt is a grunty kite but the SB was just so comfortable. I think the 2013 vs 2009 might have made a difference but it felt like my skill level jumped 30% in one sesh.
The upwind ability of the SB was far superior and I felt like I could boost easier. I know there is some significant cabrinha bashing on this forum but I can't fault it. The IDS bar is compact and so easy to use. Also the range of the SB seemed far superior to the gt, probably the bow aspect, but significant depower available.
I recommend this kite to any intermediate rider looking to replace their first kite. I also have a 2012 16m SB and its and ideal quiver with the 8m for a 100 kegger.
On another note, to those perth riders, how bad is that weed ATM..!
