I'm looking at buying a 2012 RRD Vision 10.5m to replace my 10m kite and was hoping to get some comments from anyone who has been flying them as to how they are as a wave kite. Mainly I'm in the waves but also a little time on the twin tip on flat water so I'm thinking the Vision will suit me. Cheers for any comments or advice.
I have a few friends riding the 2011 Visions. Haven't tried them myself.
They ride waves and flat, but consider themselves waveriders.
They like them a lot !!
I ve been kitesurfing for 3,5 years now , jumping doing a few tricks and starting waveriding ( see my pics)![]()
I tried the Vision last may and got "hooked" right away with them ; it feels like you ve been riding with them all along
; easy , stable , not mosquito in the ( smooth) V3 bar , but not slow ; i sent jumps pretty much right away with it in that test session ... so i bought two of them , a 7 and a 10,5 m , and never had to regret it ; i ride and jump and also am starting waveriding , they work wonderful in both ... my husband who began last year uses them too .
i 'd been hesitating on buying an Obsession but was a bit cooled by more bar pressure
.
they are GREAT ! go try one you'll be pleasantly surprised ! ![]()
happy rides !!

Cheers for the feedback I ended up buying 10.5m Vision about a week ago and love it. Only had about 4 or 5 sessions on it in the waves and really has performed very well super responsive but smooth feel. Got to say it is an easy kite to fly and so far from what I've seen almost relaunches as soon as touches the water (although it's hard to crash). Really works well when riding waves and looks to drift quite well when lines get a bit of slack in them.
Allready looking at getting a 7m Religion as well, so far very happy with the Vision kite looking forward to getting on the Religion.![]()
