My Comments:
Upto 2 days ago I really thought kites over 13m were not my cup of tea. I have previously owned a couple of Xbow 13m incl 2012 LW version. Always found that kite super heavy on bar pressure and narrow wind range with fear of being seriously overpowered over 17 knots. So I took the plunge and purchased the fury light. Today seemed like the perfect day for it and I was not disappointed. The kite is quality build, with nice simple bar, due power is via rope and cleat, it works really well. Being tentative I set the kite on max depower, I.e 1 st knot on rear lines from bar. At launch it felt a bit underpowered but soon responded once powered up by depower line. This kite moves really well for a 15m, it shoots upwind and finds the front of the window to gather speed. It is very quick. My gps speed were favorable considering conditions. What I really liked was the control and cleanness of the bar. It has a stopper, similar to old slingshot bar, so you can power up set stopper and hold on for dear life. Lucky stopper moves with pressure so the out of control feel of having no depower is easily remedied. For a big kite it turns ok. I am not going to bs about this as it is a 15 after all.i was really impressed with the overall speed, control and general feel of kite. My tips would be:- fly it on middle knot, get an electric pump it takes a lot of air, give it a demo. As a first generation kite these guys have done great job. Theses are 2012 models so the prices are super competitive too. I got mine from Dan at KA, he gave excellent advice.
