Anyone out there had a chance to test the 134?
Just wanted to gauge how it rides. Is it fast/slow? What does it compare to?
Been hoping to get a demo of the board but haven't managed to yet.
Yes it's fast but it doesn't mean you would go a size down.
Mountains of grip on tap for freestyle and old school.
Pop is huge!!!! Just watch the landings as you will be coming in higher and faster.
Rides true to it's size so mine feels a tad smaller than my Nobile NHP 134cm.
Use the search feature, I did one about two months back.
Boards awesome to ride, just found it was a little bit skatey compared to my old Tempo.
Thanks Nick. I saw your review but it didn't mention whether the board itself was fast or not. From the comments online, its clear it has a lot of pop and seems to handle chop well so I guess the questions were more around whether it was worth looking at the 134 or 137 (speed of the board) for a 80kg guy.
First of all Team series is one of the lightest boards i've ever rode--2Kg
I found that the New Entity bindings released with the board offered a immense amount of customization and needed to be tweaked quite a bit to find the best feeling. Quite a stiff board which allows extreme pop for getting massive air's and getting the extra few seconds to get the last rotation of your trick in. I found that the board is alot easier to ride upwind in comparison to the 2011 select. I don't really see how the board is skatey, the 2012 features 4 channels on the nose and tail of the board which allows the board to grip the water better upon landings and while your cruising. North also provide a 18 month warranty on all their boards so you don't have to worry about hitting your kickers aggressively ![]()
The board is a totally different feel to previous boards i have ridden but after a few sessions you really get it dialed in and the board has really influenced my decision to ride freestyle again. ![]()

Flatten the board it skates around a bit, single concave v quad concave. Ride a tempo and compare the two.
I have ridden the 137 and the 134: If you ride a lot in light wind (12-18kn) I would get the 137. If you ride in 20kn+ get the 134.
Good old red thumbs, hope they're from people that have ridden both boards. But seriously I doubt it!
