Last year Ozone released some awesome kites, does anyone know when they are going to be releasing the 2011 line?

Word on the interweb using my PC computer is that they now have their own factory so the delays of last year should be a thing of the past, the 2010 line was released/available way to late in the season for impatient poeple like me....!

Anyone have any info what to expect for 2011.....and are the rumours true they will be ready for November 2010......????

Yeah I heard rumours of a new bar not sure what will be new maybe a push QR and the C4 was such a success they are only just going to add a few new refinements to the bridle points.

Surely there should be some marking material floating around come on guys plan a seed.......?

There is an upgraded bar, and here is a screenshot taken from the latest advert which is already out there, I got a copy of Kite Mag today and the advert with the new colours is in there.
KBM will be out soon with another advert for the C4
The Ozone Catalyst 2011 and C4 2011 kites will be available from dealers in mid to end October.
The bridle is not shown, but it has multiple leading edge attachments.

Copied from another forum...
2011 brings a slightly thicker LE with a more powerful profile for more low end grunt. Apart from a ton of new features on the kite such as a Boston valve for faster pump up and pack down, cleaner tips and zip, there is also a unique new system to trim the kite in two seconds without changing the bridles.

You can chose between a wakestyle grunty classic C kite feel or swap it back to the full depower C4 that we have all loved this year. All with a simple two second change.

If it is a gnarly big wave day you can ride with the safety and comfort of the full depower setting or if it is flat water freestyle time then pop it into Classic C mode and rip it up like the old days with all the comforts of todays relaunch, safety and kite speed.

Sounds like the Boston valve is the same as Cab are using.

The sizes this year are 5/7/8/9/10/11/12/13/15
The bar has a slightlly longer depower throw, better grip, better centre hole shape, its a much cleaner bar, still with the same megatron chicken loop.

Hi Guys,

We will have the new Ozone 2011 C4's and Catalysts at the Exmouth Expo. Want an advanced private demo, come up to the expo! Rest of Oz should have demo models pretty soon after if not at about the same time.

The season is getting closer, can you feel the excitement mounting

BRING ON THE WIND!

^ Big PDF warning, 23 MB each.

Interesting stuff though, the C4 has 2 tuning options for the front bridle.

Hi Guys,

I have just read the Ozone Dealer Newsletter and am super stoked, so much goodness coming from Ozone this year. The C4's and Cats look amazing. And a bunch of other goodies coming up in the near future too ......

Curse this lack of wind and lack of new demo's. A week to wait is too long! [}:)]

The increased parked power and bridle adjustments sounds good. Maybe I shouldn't have bought that Vapor...

A spy tells me they will have the same chicken loop but have added a ss sleeve where the depower line joins the front lines to reduce wear.
Only a week to go before we will have them flying over our heads at the expo.
I have a feeling the bigger fella's will love the little bit extra grunt the C4 and catalysts have

Will the bottom end be any better, I can't speak from experience but the only criticism I heard from last year was they needed a bit more wind the get going
the bottom of the wind range…….. ????

^^^^ call it grunt or bottom end whatever they have added a bit without sacrificing its ability to get to the edge of the window. The C4 bridle adjustment ups the grunt considerably too.

How much more lowend ?? ............ however that can be measured ?
It's an important improvement that must be there in reality for my 93 kg to make my final decision .... or not.

What are we talking in practice with the new gruntier profile and gruntier 2. setting

Hey Sanjay,

Why not hang onto your horses and wait until you can demo one. Asking someone to describe how much bottom end a new kite has is like trying to describe the colour red to a blind man.

You need to demo one for yourself because everyones opinion will be different due to their different experiences. Demo's aren't far away!

Cheers,

DM

I know I know. I knew it already when I wrote it. I am just so freakin' impatient to find out more. Struggling in a decision on C4 2011 vs. VaporX
