Hi Guys

We have just received info on the new Hadlow kite by Flexifoil, this years Hadlow Pro looks like an absolute ripper.

Some great new features that will really make it stand out, like its removable mini bridle that gives up to 50% more de-power. This will make the insane performance the kite is renowned for accessible of intermediate riders and allow unlimited progression...

We have been receiving awesome reviews for the EU on these so we are throffin to get the first shipment here.. Due in a couple of weeks...

Will get a full review when we have them here in oz.

Here's some pics..

Cheers,
Dan

It looks like there are a lot of changes to it, the line configuration has changed a bit so some c kite purists will call it a hybrid when set up as a 4 line as there is a line from the attachment point of the front lines that goes half way up the LE to support it, then the mini bridle hooks to that near the wing tip if you want the extra depower almost looks like a bandit 1 bridle. 5 line setup looks fairly standard for a c kite.

Cant wait to get one and try it out, so sick of getting kites with a c kite feel. Time to get back on the c's

Any picks of the bar?

Where do you see all those details you you comment on? Do you have other pics ?

On the Flkexifoil website, get on to the page with the new hadlow kite. On the RHS there is a product info download link, looks like it might be the first few pages of the manual. It has a lot of details of all the changes, and what and who the kite is aimed at.

2 of my friends already tried it
Both liked it a lot. Much better kite than the previous they say. They don't ride Flexi themselves

I think you are going to find a lot of difference between your 9m rebel your selling and a hadlow Pro. I don't think there was a lot wrong with the last Hadlow kite that came out as long as you were riding at a Pro level and really didn't mind having very little depower. This years just opens it up to regular riders, i was going to get Fuels before i heard about this kite so i hope it is worth it.

Nothing wrong with my Rebel. But I ride JN Prima Donna 3 and had Vegas and CO2 in the early days so I know how to depower using the board.

Which Co2 did you have, was it one of the ones that scrunched up in to a ball when pulling the QR? i had a 2004 model that did that. the manual even said that if you rode with the donkey dik in that you didn't need a leash, crazy. Kites are definitely a lot safer now. I'm hanging to get the new AH pro, i don't think i have ever been so anxious to try a new kite. are they here yet

Hi Guys, we finally had the 9m Demo out for a good session in some decent wind. Hopefully the south east Qld no wind issue has come to an end......

Any way, the kite is very different in a lot of ways to last years, the biggest differences I notice where, easier to relaunch, more depower, lighter bar pressure and stability.

The first thing I noticed after a drift launch was the ease of its relaunch, it was a simple one rear line pull!. no swimming towards the kite or 5th line needed like last years. I had intermediate kiter's relaunching it with ease.

The de-power was awesome for a kite of this style. It wont give the same as a bow or SLE as it is a full on C kite, but it has around 50% more de-power than its predecessor thanks to its optional mini bridle. Once again i had intermediate riders on it in gusty (15-25kn) conditions handling it with ease.

For the more advanced riders this kite will give all you could ever want, it is incredibly stable and fast, yet seems to resist some of the small unwanted bar inputs during unhooked moves, which keeps the kite rock solid until you want it to move.
In the kite loops and jumps this thing was insane, it got the pulse rate up on numerous occasions

The construction is the typical premium Felixfoil quality, built to last.

I would say the kite is best suited to progressing intermediates through to the elite. The new features of the Hadlow kite really have made it accessible to a wide range of riders.

We have another 30kn forecast today cant wait..

Cheers,
Dan

I have to +1 your review Card, I have been riding the 11m for about 6-8 sessions now, it has more low end than last years based on both kites on water at same time, way more range, I still pass the kite with ease in 18-20kts and its kiteable in 25kts, without the bridle. Super tough so far, I average an easy 20+ smackdowns on the kite trying new powered moves and she is holding up like a gem and relaunch is awesome just one rear line pull she flips on her back and up she goes. She has great boost too, really gets you up there compared to the last 2 models.
I think flexi is on a winner this season, my only complaint would be that I have hit the safety pin on the suicide leash in a missed pass and had to run the kite down once, but thats in a group of a lot of misses but thats something you dont want to happen..

People that want a c kite that can be tailored to suit your level being transitioning to a c kite to all out wakestyle I say get on it.

PS. I ride the kite in the 4/6 line setup as it is a bit more stable than the 5 line and quicker to get back up flying. I am not a team rider for Flexi, I just ride for me so this isnt pimping for the sake of a sponsor..

PS: New Hadlow board is unreal, super smooth ride, fast as, and has a much smaller feel for it's 138 size.

Come give one a go.
