Rider: 98kg,Level (beginner)
Style: Freeriding, Surf, Wake, Freestyle
Weather: 20-25 knots
Build Quality: 3/10
Satisfaction: 3/10

My Comments: Firstly thanks to fellow troopy owner yesterday, dont think I would of made it back to the main land with my gear cheers

Whats with the black center line breaking only after a few sessions

Donkey dik seems faulty to short maybe chicken loop keeps comming out when I go toeside.

First new kites I bought 8 and 10 evos, starting to regret it my, second hand ones have seen way more use and are still premo touch wood.

Did I get a bad batch or should I steer clear of north gear in the future.

Doesn't sound like a kite problem. More a bar and line problem.

Which is the black centre line?

Is it 2011 models or 2010 (last year)?

Struggle to see this I have had evo's in the past and were brilliant kites. I then passed these on to my wife and she is still riding them never had nothing gone wrong 9m2009, 6m 2010 and 12m 2010. Maybe a dodgy batch and I never had an issue with the chicken loop coming out even when riding toe side.
Also black centre line sounds like you have this set-up on a 5th line bar. No need for this just keep them on the four line relaunch is easy so no need for 5th line.

Never had any problem with my 5 line north bars. Always totally secure even in big stacks in waves let alone when just riding toeside.

For a front line to break it must have been abraded on something. If the kite is new, warranty should cover it.

I ride with no donkey dick but the chicken loop never comes off the speaderbar, even on toeside.

Build quality score is a bit harsh for a broken line hardly a bad batch

sorry was off track spewwing about broken line .

the kite flys supper fast and loops really quickly, compared to the 12 and 14 M cabs I have so not much to compare with

They are super fun to fly when the wind is pumping 23KN+ not much power for me in anything under 20kn

Got stuk in a tree once and had to climb and retreve kite, not a single scratch on the kite cant say the same for myself.

gets to edge of window quickly when you drop it and relaunch is super easy.

For 8 years we are a school using North kites.
The donkey dicks are breaking allright (30 bars a season, used around 50 times, 5 breaking).
So around 12 % is breaking after 50 sessions.

No lines breaking only when the tangled with force. You can't see it with a check up but the line is less stronger.
