I am after some opinions on the new slingshot bolt-on footstraps.
I have recently bought an sx twintip which I'm super happy with.
I'm finding the footbed to be quite slipperly, both the black rubber, but especially the white foam section, under foot arch.
Riding toeside my backfoot slipped out and felt like slipping out a lot.
They are otherwise super comfortable with loads of cushion, possible too much- On landings the compression in the foot bed had my feet sliding around a bit too.
Anyone got any tips for gaining some grip/less slip, I feel like they need a good going over with board wax or something....
cheers.
You got 2 options - well, 3 options..
Option 1 - Wax them up before you head out, works ok...
Option 2 - Grab some medium grit sandpaper and give them a going over... Works great to remove the slippery coating the pads have...
Option 3 - Keep riding it for a while, the slippy coating wears off eventually and you'll be left with super comfy straps ![]()
thanks Rhys
will give a quick going over with sandpaper and see how it goes, till option 3 rolls around.
it wont take long for them to wear in and then they have heaps of grip and are super comfy. i wouldnt go to hard with the sand paper.
