Compared to what ?

I have the 10m,

Turns much quicker than last years 12m, turns well still while unhooked, super stable and solid when unhooked.

Solid construction, good bottom end.

So stoked I dropped to a 10m this year- quicker turning = better for waveriding, smaller size = easier unhooking in more wind.

If you have any specific questions pm me and I will do my best to answer. I have had about 40 solid sessions on it and love it more with each one.....

compared to last years ten-

A little more bottom end, slightly faster turning and noticably more stable. The bar is a bit better this year too- simplified and cleaner.

Compared to the nomad- only had a quick fly on the beach, can't tell you.

My mrs has the 10, I have used it twice. I used the Switchy IDS 10 all last season and I really cannot find any significant difference between last years and this years. Maybe a touch quicker, but then again maybe not. I have swapped to the Nomads and have never looked back, the Nomad has a lot more pull and is more of a 'mans kite' than the Switchy. The Switchy does everything for you which is great for beginners and wakestyle, but in comparison is slow and mundane. Demo a Nomad and loop the kite then do the same with the Switchy, then decide which one keeps you grinning the longest.

DannyBoyz,
I havent had a chance to try the 2010 Nomad but have used the SB10m's for the last 4 years. The 2010 SB compared to the the 2009 is much more solid in the sky. Not saying that one is better than the other but rather that the 2009 SB was much more twitchy like it was drugged up on Redbull! For this reason I feel that the 2009 SB is better suited for wave riding over the 2010 SB. You can for sure see why the 2010 SB is a wakestyle kite as it parks so well and has such a smooth solid pull.
The 2010 SB i actually find to be a sliver slower than the 2009. Not much difference really but just enough to notice. Kite loops on the 2010 are still easily possible. The 2009 SB bar is 2cm longer at 50cm while the 2010 bar is 48cm.
The 2010 SB definately feels gruntier than the 2009 SB. It almost feels as grunty as the 2008 SB but with more depower and faster turning.
The material on the 2010 SB feels a bit more solid, from the leading edge to the canopy... over past Cabrinha kites.
The new IDS bar is really sweet with the IDS line running through the PU line. The swivel on the 2010 bar is improved from the 2009. Water relaunching is still very easy on the 2010 SB, however I have noticed that the 2009 and 2010 SBs do not water relaunch as easy as the 2006/7/8 SB's did in lighter winds.
