When the moderator doesn't create any forum-fun, the members have to resort to self-amusement.
They have to invent their own silly games.
So, let's play the bashing game.
Spot the error in the above WAROO blurb. ^^^
It sticks out like a sore thumb.
No...I'm not talking about the lame-arse kite canopy graphic design.
lol.
That's another story.
I'm talking about a fault in the techno info.
It's next to that stupid pie-graph thing which says a whole lot of nothing.
lol.
Can you see it ?

Of course it's fairly obvious that the stated windrange for the 5m Waroo is wrong.
It shows the 5m has a better bottom end than the 11m.
But maybe this imaginary windrange will be correct for the 5m Future-Kite.
Imagine.
This is what kite companies and kite designers need to be aspiring to.
Their design brief should read:
"Build a small kite that has mega bottom end and (of course it goes without saying)...a sweet top end."
The kite-of-the future.
The kite-of-NOW.
If the designers could switch their focus...
If they could concentrate their efforts on kite efficiency...
rather than devising more complex plumbing for stupid one-pump inflation systems.
If they could build a better foil instead of working on enhanced kite-bags that double as hi-tech backpacks cum hoodies.
But BEST has designed a flying Swiss army knife.
(Their words, not mine.)
A toe-nail kite with its own built-in clipper.
A kite with its own little fold-in scissors for trimming off daggy threads along the stitching.
A kite for every task.
A people's kite that does goddamn everything.
(I could never pull out those little fold-in scissors on my Swiss knife.)
Too fiddy.
Maybe I needed longer, tougher finger nails.
Swiss fingers.

Then again it may be that the 5 mtr is aimed as a trainer, hence the 12-35 knot range.

Yeah, that's correct Greenfinger. ^^^
I fly waroos.
I've flown waroos for many seasons.
So I'm not slagging waroos per se.
I'm just slagging dumb waroo blurb.
Bad blurb can make a good kite sound like crap.
So if marketers are going to pimp stuff, the blurb needs to be professional blurb.
That means,
no stupid pie-graphs that look like Chinese horoscopes....
no stupid windrange data tables that are totally meaningless....
cause there are too many damn variables and factors to consider.
Like,
is the board a floaty cork or is it a sinky twig ??
Is the rider a fly-weight grommet or is he morbidly obese ??
Is the wind hard-ass or is it soft-cock pus ??
What length are the flying-lines ????
All these factors factor-in.
Lastly,
No kite is a Swiss army knife.
No kite is all things to all riders.
Cut the BS, pimpers.
And where's the 'flying penis' logo in the canopy graphics ?
In fact, they should print the brand BEST within the flying penis logo.
Bone up on that.
