I just bought a 2009 rev 13M and there are a few things I need to know about this kite as I have only used Best kites before.
I had my first go on the kite yesterday and the wind was very light so to get the most out of it in these conditions I applied what I knew from my best kites. Which did not seem to work . I know these are good kites as they have had good reviews but sling shot does not give the info I need out when they sell the kites OR ON THERE WEBSITE (they think every one is an expert maybe, not me )
For light wind conditions how do you set them up ?
Do you put every line on the third pig tail and the bar pressure setting to max?
Please advise good kite but I feel like a first timer again...
Hi SCG
Rule of thumb for rev in light wind depower in high wind depower .So how to discribe this, to depower you lengthen the out side line (put the coloured lines on the 1st not, longest setting.). And / or shorten the inside lines ( put grey lines on 3rd not ,shortest setting ).You may not need both or you may only need a bit, but remember if you shift all of them longer or shoreter your not doing any thing except moving your kite closer or further away. Hope this helps not very good at typing discriptions .
Have Fun
GEORGE
sorry i mean't KSA to jt though the kite/bar and lines looks like its never been used but I will check the line lenghts. Honestly I think its me that is the problem once I'm dialled in to the right settings , asta la vista
the revs fly heaps better with a touch of depower. even in the lightest conditions i will always set my revs up so that the back lines are 1knot up from the front ones. i always have the back on the bottom knot and fronts on the middle. if its really windy i just move the front up 1. and i always have a touch of depower on my chicken loop.( at least 1 inch) some people power them right up but their sweet spot is with a little depower. hope this helps you.
