I have been using the cult and its working better than anything i have used before drifts really nicely i use a 10.5 and a 7'5 and both are sweet and most of the guys who are riding waves at our local spot are changing to cults.

The cult would be
Read my review. it has gone down a bit more now but on the 1st page.

The helix is their freestyle kite a bit quicker and heaps of wild power. The cult is amazing un hooked and perfect for wave riding.. bar movement wont affect the kite while unhooked unless you really want it to

JPD,

I wouldn't really say that one kite is better than hte other for wave riding (or freestyle for that mater). They each have different attributes that will apeal to different riding styles. The Cult is more user friendly, and has a much bigger wind range. It's very easy to control the power, and is incredibly stable. The Helix has an awesome turning speed, and a very "C" kite feel with direct feel through the back lines, it also has quite a bit more power through the turns than the Cult (but not as much as the Torch). The Torch is just bad ass, fast and powerful!

Personally I would loved to say I'm a Torch guy (Bad ass), but in reality I prefer the Helix. As I am a bit of a heavier rider so the power and turning speed of the Helix suits me as I am usually on a bigger kite. I would imagine a lighter riders feeling more comfortable on the cult in the waves.

But you should try and hook up with your local and have a demo to get the best idea.
