Just arrived: 09 luxury harness, comp harness, aura harness, impact vests, HI FI and Session kites.

Contact your local shop to test!

Brisbane Demo Day: 12-3pm Saturday 8 November 2008, changed to 22 November 2008. The Pool, Flinders Parade, between 7th & 8th Avenue, Sandgate. Directions and maps if required: http://www.surfconnect.com/sc/html/Contact.htm

Just realised the Brisbane Ride Day is also on the original date we set (8 Nov) so I have moved our demo day to the 22 November, same time, same place!

Free food and barbie, and redbull chicks should be there too! Mark your diary!

Just got one of my 09 havocs last week and tested out Padi's 12 09 Havoc and i recommend it.

turns really quick and is very responsive i found that once the wind picked up a bit it was much better but even in lighter winds it was still fun and easy to handle

i thought there was a little bit more bar pressure on the 09 havocs compared to the 08 and 07.

the kite itself didnt seem much different from the 08 models but one thing i did notice was that the connecting tubes that join the leading edge to the struts is a much better design

the bar itself was good the centre of the bar where the chicken loop rope goes through is much better than the 07 bar as its metal now not plastic

overall i like the 09 havocs and as such have bought 2 of them just waiting for the 14m to arrive

What is the difference between the 09 Hifi and Hifi Comp?
Has anybody tried them yet?
I spoke with a teamrider and he told me that the Hifi Comp has a higher aspect ratio and a deeper profile. Better low end and hang time? The settings are different too so that the comp can be used in a more aggressive setup.
What about the range? Probably the comp has a smaller range because he offers maybe less depower. But this only theory.
Even the teamrider can't tell at the moment which model he will use next year in freestyle competition. This indicates me that the normal hifi is still the better choice, because even in freestyle the comp can't excel significantly better. Sounds like the versatility of the comp is reduced compared to the hifi.
Best regards from Germany

For those who liked the 2008 luxury harness you wont believe the 2009 Comp harness. Super, Super cumfy. A fair bit more lower back support aswell. The adjustment straps are at a slightly different angle so they never come loose when riding! Lovein the 2009 LF gear!!!!

p.s I ride a 10 and 14 and i'm 59 kg's. The 10 suits me in basicaly any conditions!!

I Was walking at the beach in the maroochy river mouth wile not watching my kite…..
Suddenly wandering about the low barpressure I was looking up, just to find out, that my brand new 2009 Liquidforce Hi-Fi was already wraped arround a tree….
Well first I tried to fly it out, after half an hour I got it in the air but a low gust let it fall back (how lucky at a 15-20knts day). Ater 1 hour full of desperate attempts the air went out and we decided to pull it out 6 men full on … and… well…. we got half of it out… clean tear right trough the kite.
Sh+=+ fu+++!!!

after such an experience you may be considering quitting kiting. If you happen to have a new recoil comp say 134ish. I could get it out of your sight so it can no longer remind you of your horrible experience.

The H3 is the best ever kite I have seen of LF to date. I didnt think the H2 can be improved upon but there you go. The fine details, the design, reinforcement.... top kite in the market in my opinion.

i'm going to be getting 7, 9 and 12 meter hifi's for this year but was wondering if they have sorted out the problem with the one pump valves popping out when crashing the kite (causing it to deflate and a swim in). this problem was with the 08 hifi's but i didn't fin it with the havocs.
cheers

I dont think they have BlueRocket... I asked the same question to be told that its there so you dont burst the bladder, instead the valve just pops off.....
Thats a load of crap in my eyes! Id rather risk the chance of bursting a bladder which is unlikly rather than everytime i try a trick and wack the kite into the water, the valve pops out and all the air comes out of the kite!

I know that they have put non return valves in though so atleast when your nozzle valve which you pump the kite up with nearly pops out, you wont loose any air out of that too...

Why oh why do they give you the ''option'' to use the shut of clips for the 1 pump i do not know!! Pethetic idea! If a kite is 1 pump, these should be attached to the kite, not an after thought!

Other than the issues above, Im extremely happy with my 08 HiFi's and will be keeping a close eye on what the Comp has to offer!

Have you tried the HiFi Comps yet blueice? They just got in here. Cant wait to give them a go.

As for the valves popping, have you check for oil/dirt built up around the valves. Perhaps change the valves plugs (should have spares in the repair kit) and see if they hold better? The velcros all good? Another thing you can do is to put a rubber band around the velcro to stop is from opening?

The clips are supplied separately cos 1/. some customers dont use them, 2/. a few rubber tubes got damaged during shipping. So they are supplying it separately so it becomes your choice to use them or not.

Hi bud,
Na i havent tried the Comp yet as we have none in the UK yet but i shall be waiting to see what there like thats for sure!
(Ive heard Ruben Lenton wants the 2010 Fuel to be exactly the same as the comp as when he tied it, he fell in love with it!)

The rim seal around the dump valve which you normally open to let the air out as basically fell apart so ive already had to bodge a new valve to that as the air was leaking out. (A new bladder need i reckon and ive only had the kite 3 months)

As for the Valve you pump the kite with, (This is the one thats nearly pops out all the time) The velcro is all good and tight.

As for the valves on the struts (on the one pump) popping off when you hit the water, this is a big problem that i dont think has been altered on the 09 line up and tbh, i dont know why??

Hey Crew,

Just flew the HIFI Comp 12 last weekend.. I've been a Havoc man ever since the first season and i gotta say, this thing ais a fa*&> Machine, Fastest C i've flow buy far, could be even quicker than the havoc once it gets going! Probaly not the best rig for an easy riding session, but loops like nothing else i've riden.. Super Comfotable which makes you want to go bigger.. Spot on! LF Rn'd really have nailed it!

Without a doubt, i'll be locked in for one of these bad boys in a 12m and 10 Havoc this yr. (Adelaide Conditions)

Go demo one, you won't regret it, but your bank balance might !!!

First off, it all depends on how much they are!
Secondly, it depends how different they are compared to the normal HiFi as i love the 08 HiFi!

Hi Blue ice ,
the elbow fitting is a little bigger diameter on one pump system for 09 kite , also there're some slight change on valve too . it will not pop off anymore on valve for 09 line up .

go and try any of 09 LF kite at your local , you will be aware on what i'm said is really true .
