Has anyone out there modified (e.g. bored out) the bar penetration for the de-power line on their '08 Rev Bar? I've just purchased the kite (7m) and find the bar is problematic because of the tight fit and lack of a chamfer on the bar top side. My de-power line showed clear signs of wear after only the 2nd session. It's not just the wear that concerns me but also the slow speed at which the de-power line(s) move through the bar because of friction. On an aggressive wave session where you need to move the bar in and out repeatedly this will create problems. Anyone done a field mod they can share with me? IÕve seen guys wax their de-power line to reduce wear. Anyone doing that? What wax are you using?
Cheers Mike
I think that would be a negative to Q1.
I've never found it that much of a problem.
I hope you're interested in this cause I stuffed around too long finding it. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=41237

Some wax their legs too- nancy boys.
i have just replaced the spectra line thou the middle of the bar mine snapped out in a strong southly 25+ gave me the ****s!! was able to fly it back to base thatnks to the black stop ball thing , seem the older stuff swells and stops the bar moving freely after a while , 17$ will fix the prob, anyway thought i would just do some reno's on the bar and bring it back to A1 spec again , ill see how it goes this afternoon , blow baby blow!!

You could try looking at one of the takoon furia center sets. Some principle but they use a thinner line that is less prone to wear. It will probably last you a lot longer between lineset changes.
