Just picked up my new Cabrinha Custom 138..
Ive been looking at boards for a fair while..This is the board.....
This board has a fair amount of rocker set in Which gives it a nice skatey feel when wanted..And the Pop is Unreal>>> Digs in hard on tight powered turns. And landing jumps easy due to forgiving rocker..And gets Going Quite quicky..
The foot pads are the best ive ever used.. They Hold unreal..
No spray from board and handles chop well for a stiff board..
Also comes ready 4 bindings...
This will take my riding to a new level..
well worth a ride..

Just proves that everyone has their own opinion. Rode it, tried it, hated it. Thought all those channels and huge rocker made it crap as you have to be constantly powered to get the thing planning. Thought, I'd give it a go in the waves, but why when you've got a surfboard.
Glad you like it fella, there's nothing worse than buying a new board without demoing it and find its not suited to your style.

What do u mean by constantly powered? Not a good light wind board or maybe that u needed a bigger kite for that demo?

Im pretty light and its not often i am underpowered!
Im keen on a wakestyle board thats not as heavy as a wakeboard but has similar charateristics that can fit bindings and thought this may be perfect, so just trying to clear up why u where so disapointed dave..

Have u ever tried any specific wakestyle boards before or even wakeboards before??

Abesy, it planes easy, I think Dave might mean that the board needs to be powered to ride upwind easily, its not a light wind board.
I have ridden one (1.33 and 1.38) several times now and love it in choppy conditions, the quad concave and tail rocker eat chop and make landings a lot softer and you are less likely to catch a tip.
Have not used it in surf but like dave says why bother if you have a surfboard?
All I noticed a couple of times was that if the wind dropped below what would normally be keeping me powered on any board I use, then I tended to end up a bit downwind.
However once I was even moderately powered it was easy to scream upwind at excellent angles for a board with this much tip rocker. Thats where I think the quad concave and the flat section between the pads comes in. Tracks really nice too, and if you want to hit sliders, you can ride this board finless, thats what Dre wanted and he had a lot of input into this board design.
Pads and straps are awesome, in the same class as the Undergrounds and the LF Luxurys.
Takes bindings and are prooving to be a popular board this year.

Rode my new cabrinha custom board again today...
Still happy as.. but i do agree it does need slightly more power to go upwind...thats why i got the 138 as im 85kgs..the board is not that much bigger in length due to rocker..
Yet to try in the surf..But i think im carving harder and tighter than my last board, which had a far bit of flex and little rocker
