Just looking for specs on a 2006 Jimmy Lewis Model 3. The one I'm looking at is a 133cm, and the guy is charging $175. I am a new rider and I weigh about 62kg. Please help me out and tell me if this is a good board to start out with and if it's a good deal. Thanks!
Hi Alec,
I read your previous post as well so comments consider that post as well. I actually think that this is quite a good beginners board, especially if you ride in chop or waves. It's basically a toned down version of JL Super Model and Signature boards which are still ridden by a few pros. It's quite forgiving and charges upwind and prob about the right size to learn on. As discussed on your other post, if/when you progress to a reasonable level of freestyle you'll want a shorter board with more flex and squarer tips than the JL Model 3.
Having said that - as per responses to your other post, if you can afford something newer it would be better.
Thanks for the input... I wish I could afford newer gear, but.... I'll probably start out with this board and as I get into the sport upgrade to some newer stuff. Thanks again for responding
