tried on a pair of the new hyperlite system a few weeks back and decided to get a set to try www.hyperlite.com/wakeboard-boots.php

Since trying them I dont think I would go to another brand for kiting again. the support and responsiveness is insane and how convenient they are for kiting fits perfectly, as you wear the boots around and strap in when you need. I have used them about 18-20 days of riding now and they dont show signs of wear, whereas my last set of LF boots were pretty ****ed after that amount of sessions. not to mention they retail for $150 less than Ronix or Liquid force. Id seriously suggest these and they are perfect for ur first boot. I got the Process boot as I dont like the Low cut boot and the other high cut has the wire tightening system around the top which I think would get a bit screwed in sand and salt.

check them out, definitely worth a go!

^^ that's really interesting, it would be good to get a long term test as to how those hyperlites go. I love riding boots but they are a bit of a pain getting on and off and those look like they would be a lot easier. Do they feel more like snowboard boots than wakeboard boots? Have they affected your riding style at all? How heavy is the whole system compared to say a pair of LF boots?

hey dude,

had about 20 sessions on them now and are holding up really well. its hard to say if they feel more like snowboard boots as the board is so different. They haven't really affected my riding too much but I can load up an edge harder as the back of the boot is more solid. Its definitely nice to have the boots to walk around and get in and out easy.

They weigh less than LF boots (not a big task... ) but slightly more than Ronix, but thats expected with the whole system, the new 2014 are lighter tho.

Have they sorted out the issues they had in the first couple of years with ratchets strips cracking / stripping?

not quite sure as I never had those boots, but mine are still fine and not showing any signs of wear
