My Comments:
after reading a few forums I purchased a Mako king. Today the wind was 20+ on a 10 meter Ride
I rode the board on ocean waves about 3 foot and also on flat water (rosebud). It was choppy on both places
The board was smooth and easy to turn. I will be selling my TT boards and only ride the Mako.
Kite shops in Victoria; you guys should sell Mako boards. I purchased the board without demo the board and I am happy with my purchase.
Glad ya stoked. Want some advice. Just wait a while before you sell your TTs. Unless you want to just carve in the waves and that's it.
You may find after a while on flat water or the ocean when flat, a lack of ability to really load up and pop. The back end squirrels out on ya.
That's what I found after a season of so on the king and the mako140, this squirrelling reduces in mutant mode but I reckon it carves best just set up as a TT.
So I now have a laluz for those flat water days.
Great combo. If the waves are on, I'm carving my ass off. If flat I'm loading, popping and having fun. Also sometimes if I just want a good old fashioned big load and boost then I got the TT as well.
Just allows you to differentiate your riding style with different kites to suite the conditions.
Just an idea that works for me anyhow.
during winter months it is difficult to sell kite gear unless you give it away... I will follow your advise..cheers
