Anyone riding the 14 Vapor and can you tell me how it flies compared to the 10 Vapor (which I curretnly own) and the 2007 Flows?

Pretty set on the kite as the 10 rocks but wanted to know how fast/slow it was and if it pulls like a truck or its really managable in light winds?

Thanks in advance!

ive had a quick run on the 14m before it blew oout on me. but from wat i felt is its quite fast for a 14m kite, it doesnt truck and it was really managable. Ive also flown the 12 flow and thaught that was the golden size! its perfect for unhooking, its not too fast like the 10 and it produces a solid pull. i havnt really tried unhoooking on a 10 though so i cant really compare. but ive flown the 10 12 and 14 and i can say that all 3 of them were very impressive!

Thanks Charl, are you talking the 2008 12 flow?I have the 2007 12 Flow and now that I have ridden the vapor I cant go back to it, its like when I took up kitig I have only surfed a handful of times!

Was the 14 as nice to fly as the 10? I still have the biggest smile on my dial every time it takes to the air and Im hoping the 14 follows suit and becomes a great kite for light wind days on both the flat and waves.

Hi Lance,
Charl was reffering to the Vapor 12 not the flow. I also have a vapor 10m and know exactly what you mean, it is a fun kite to fly. Personally none of the other larger kites put that same smile on my face based on just flying characteristics alone. The 14m is a nice kite, but personally a little bit too slow for the surf(I like my kites quick), although it does still very much like a vapor should. Best bet is to try and get a go on one,
Thanks
Matt

new 14 in car and will get to try in the next day or two

Had the 10 out last night in overpowered conditions then settling down to very good conditions, as the kite wants to fly so far forward in the window its a difficult thing to turn when it blows hard, but when it backed off the smile was back on, such a good kite!

seeya on the water!

First ride on the 14 tonight on the open ocean in some gusty winds up to about 16kts

The kite was great - coming from the 10m the lack of speed was a bummer but once you dial into the kite a little more it was great, yeah its slow but nice and you can still turn one handed... which for a kite that size is sweet!

Cant wait to get it in the waves too, almost set and forget I hope :)
