Yes, but you may have to modify the depower lines to be longer to accomodate the IDS (Immediate Depower) system. Trial and error.
What I do know, is do not modify the bridles on the kite. Leave them as is, but you will have to adjust your steering or power lines to accomodate the IDS length the bar travels to depower the kite.

Understand IDS here and watch a few videos.

I think as long as both slingshot and cabrinha have lines of equal length there should be no probs.

I use my Cab 2013 bar for Blade Fat Lady 2013 . Cab slingy 2009 and cab crossbow 2012 with no issues

Obviously you need to check that the safety's are compatible IE: flag kite to front lines (mini fith) or single front In case an emergency.
As long as the front & back line lengths are similar, the kite should fly.

Sometimes different kite manufacturers have loops and knots in different spots on kite pigtails ( for example Cabrinha, Ozone, and Wainman are all different). If the length of lines is the same but knots and loops are in different spots you may need add extra pigtails onto kite to achieve desired combination ( of course the extra pigtails must be of equal length).

Hay yea. I didn't think of that. I got an ozone cat 6 m using a blade uni bar and the kite just doesn't seem right. Too much power while on water at edge of window.

I wouldn't modify a safety system, no way. You could end up rendering the system useless and put yourself in a potentially disastrous situation

Another point to consider is there's a lot more to the way the bar and lines works in relation to controlling the the kite. Just having equal line lengths is important
And sure there's the single or dual front like flagging systems but you also have,,

bar travel.... Which varys a lot from manufacturer to manufacturer, if you are to use a set of bar and lines that have a short travel on a kite that was designed to operate with a long amount of travel you'll find the the kite will max out the bar travel pretty quick as the kite reaches it's upper limit of its wind range and bang you can get launched up, once again into a bad predicament.!

Then the amount of depower or trim...what ever it you want to call it , can also be a prob in the fact that most kites will vary in the amout of depower they are designed to operate with in, under trim can result in a back stall and over trim a Hindenburg effect and unfortunately this can happen when the kite is at the top end or bottom end of its wind range.....once again a problem.
Then again I mixed and matched and it's work fine, but did get a holy fungula launch from mixing bars with kites so really just trying save this situation from happening to someone else!

So finding a set of bar and lines that is similar to the original is usually the best option, second to the OEM bar and lines

Disclaimer.....this is not pure fact just feed back from on the beach and in the water experience.

Yeah, it's a PULLEY Bar n yeah it will teach you alot
more than most systems these days... And it'll work on most kites if you know what n how to Edge...

This is what Cabrinha say about using their 1x 2014 single line flag out bar with an IDS kite.

Aloha Stefan,

It's possible to use the 2014 Overdrive bar on 2013 or older IDS equipped kites. While the 2014 Overdrive bar will fly and flag the kite out, the overall feel and performance of certain IDS kites might feel different than originally intended. The reasoning is the low-V centerline split. When using this setup on 2013 or older IDS kites (especially Switchblades), we've found that the kite tends to flatten out in the arc from the middle. This can sometimes cause unusual flaring since the arc is more open than it was designed to be. We felt that it did work just fine, just not quite as smooth as with an IDS bar. Again, it is possible to use a 2014 Overdrive bar on a 2013 or older IDS kite.Certain riders prefer it. We just found the performance wasn't quite as smooth as it was originally designed to be. The IDS control bars (e.g. 2013 IDS Quicklink) tend to work best for IDS equipped kites.

Best Regards,
Cabrinha Support

Funnily enough Cabrinha did bring out a Pro Kit for IDS kites in 2010 to lower the V to give better handling, so that seems to be saying the lower V is an advantage on IDS kites. ???
That kit required you to grab an O-**** ring attached to both front lines to activate the IDS.

The Slingshot bar looks like it is adjustable for plenty of bar travel.

To avoid taking an extra bar, I used a single front line bar with an IDS kite while on holiday. I never had to flag it out onto one line, so I don't know how that would have worked. I think it would vary depending on the model of Cabrinha IDS kite. When I finished riding, I just set the kite at one side of the window and pulled 3 metres of the centre lines in. That activates the IDS just like normal, and if you do it with the kite at the side of the window, it should behave like in this video.

There was very little pull on the lines when doing that, but the wind was within the normal range for the kite.
