Sorry if this been covered before but can't find It with search option.

I struggle with water relaunch of my biggest kite in light wind, that is 16m LF and I can get it up when there is enough wind to be powered but in border conditions its game over for me.
i do depower to make it easier, sometimes pulling on front line to bring it to the edge helps but this is big heavy kite and it is not as easy as with smaller once.
Will revers lunch be more suitable here and other tips ane suggestion most welcome.

while pulling in a rear line , pull the opposite centre line as well. Should help it roll over to relaunch

There was a good video on here, somewhere; technique involved sending the kite to ine side of the wind, then back the other way and using the momentum to get it up. Also see people rock it back and forth downwind with success. Some kite reverse launch, some don't. Try it out with space downwind and on land - in light wind - to see if that'll work.

You can also assist your kite by swimming into a better position, gives your lines some tension instead of working kite across the water and staying static in the water yourself, don't be too hasty when in the correct position, tease it , you see plenty being too aggressive when kites just about to leave the water which can roll it over, good practice for your water pack downs marginal winds

Probably not helpful but with c kites you please the 5th to roll it over or swim towards it to roll it over a little

If it won't launch try the other way , this will put it in the max power area.

Could you explain how you please a 5th line
Do you buy it chocolates, do you promise to not go out with other lines.
Please explain

Thank for above suggestions and video.
I think I was not pulling back and front opposite line at the same time so will try next time.
Also if I am in shallow water as in the video I can relaunch in almost any wind, deep water - not so much.
I will give it another go next time wind is dropping.

Haha classic case of auto correct. "pull the 5th"

Great vids terminal ... my biggest 'aha' was that it takes ALOT more control input/pulling lines to make it relaunch in light winds compared to just pulling down on the bar in strong winds..
