Hi,

I just got the kitesurfing gear, and have been practising at Centennial Park.
I would like to try it in the sea, but I am a bit scared because would be the first time and I may go too far to come back.

Any other begginers to learn together in Sydney? We can catch up one day and go together
See you

Practicing what in Centennial park?
Self rescue ? What to do when a line breaks and you are 500m out to sea?
Proper setup and launching procedures? Water packdown?
Lots of people have died kitesurfing! It is imperative that you know what you are doing and flying a ktie at the park is not only a bad way to learn - its also stupid.
(most deaths by kite - are caused by flying on land)

Go to Kitepower in botany bay and get a lesson, where is the best place in Sydney to learn because of flat water, and lots of friendly people.
Learning in waves is much harder.....and a much bigger learning curve.

very important to note - when you are flying a traction kite, it is not only yourself that you are putting in danger - it can also be the other people on the beach.
this is why it is important to know exactly what you are doing...... GET LESSONS.

if you cannot afford lessons - then please go learn on a beach that is empty.

Simple Maths

No lessons = serious injury
Lessons = happy, fun, learn quick
