Hi there !
I'm new in Sydney (less than a month) and even newbier in kitesurfing (1,5h last Monday) :)
It was just an initiation, on the beach, with powerkite (a deal from groupon...) went very well..
BUT it definitively gave me the obession of learning "real" kitesurfing.. as soon as possible !!
I've already have good notion of wakeboarding, and sailing.
Some french friends of mine already have a gooood level of kitesurfing, so I don't want to bother them with too beginner questions, and I do want to learn the basics from a good school..
SO, i've read a lot of stuff about kitesurfing, mostly on this forum, and it came from time to time about good kitesurfing schools and "bad" ones..
Would you have any recommandation about any kitesurfing school on Sydney (I still have only a bike, and my feet of course...) so I guess it would be in botany bay ?
I don't work during week (still in holidays, enjoying summer) so I'm pretty free and motivated.
I've checked on google and found those two :www.kiteboardinglessons.com.au/lessons-beginners/
has 4on5 days course, mabye a little bit too much no ?
www.kitesessions.com.au/main/page_lessons.html
(kinda expensive IMO)
www.kitepower.com.au/collections/other/Holidays
Good 2hrs packages I guess, can take 2 or 3 to be free (ah-ah-ah)
About the kites, after some research I tought about buying a Griffin Avon 2011 or 2012, 10M (75kg)
Thank you guys and sorry for the english, still learning !!
Hey,
Im a beginner as well. I recently had some lessons with kitesessions (3 lessons) and they were great. Good friendly instructors who know what there doing. I agree, a little bit pricey but definitely worth the money in the long run... But thats just my opinion
Hope it Helped ![]()
Hi ya!
I have had lessons with kite boarding lessons and they are the best bet in my opinion because the instructors are very experienced and they support you with a boat at all times. They talk to you via a helmet with inbuilt speakers. They even take pictures for you and post them on their website.
