Hi all,
hope you can help me, i have a 14m kite and last year i did i little bit of body dragging in the ocean at Nobbys but when it came to use the board i found it very difficult to even try to use it and get into position due to the swell pushing me towards the beach and spinning me around with my foot pressure trying to compensate.
please could you let me know the best (in your opinion) location to get flat'ish water around Newcastle to have a go this year in the coming N/E winds.
i have looked around on the web and i have seen the Entrance / Swansea mentioned but not the exact location or wind conditions etc.
i dont mind travelling so any good location welcome..
Cheers all, Bring on the Summer Winds...........
Steve
Might want to wear booties if you're going to be walking alot as there are heaps of razor sharp clams in there. Good spot in a NE to learn though I think.
sorry for the late reply, been away. thanks for the spot will try it this year and wear my boots. Dam those clams

just make sure you head down to the western end (away from the carpark) a fair way- by this i mean past the first little rock breakwall. it only takes an extra 2 minutes to walk and you will get cleaner less gusty winds and a bigger area to launch and land. also if u are kiting down there for the first time make sure you get someone to launch you who knows what they are doing....... i have seen sooooo many kites in the bushy shrubs behind the sand and they normally have more holes in them when they come out... see you down there ![]()
