Hey every body I have been unfortunate to loose my Kite Board at Woody Point, Redcliffe, Queensland, I was about 50 past the end of the jetty when I lost it at 3pm wednesday 20 july 2011. The board in question is a Slingshot Misfit 2011, Blue & wood finished top, Green White & Black Mystic foot straps & white bottom. If any body finds it in & around the area please contact me on 0416138081 or Kitepower Queensland 0n 0732841186 or email simon_yvonne1@bigpond.com. Thanks
If it was blowin anything like it was at Wello Point yesterday.........my guess is, if it wasnt collected by a boat, its on Moreton Island somewhere!
A couple of years ago I lost my board off Scarbs in the westerlies. It left on Saturday lunchtime and arrived on Moreton Island sometime early Monday morning. A friendly ranger picked it up, placed it on the Micat and had it back Monday arvo.
Having blown consistent WSW, it'll probably arrive just north of Tangalooma in the next 24hrs. If your board's not labeled, it may be worth tracking down the ranger who drives up the beach.
Let us know if you get lucky!
How far around the beach did you look from the jetty north and were you to the north or the south of the jetty when you lost it. The wind was pretty much dead on shore with just a little bit of south in it so it most likely would have come back in somewhere along the Woody Pt, Clontarf stretch. If you were out past the jetty to the south then yes its out in the bay.
its so funny how ppl just dont put their names on their boards. -me included.
having survived the learning stage without losing my board i was 100% confident i had sufficient skills not to lose it. apparently doesnt matter how skilled you are, if u lose sight of it in the right conditions it'll vanish easily! lucky i got mine back![]()
I was bored yesterday so walked right round the point to have a look, sorry no luck dude. Did you report it stolen? That way when it turns up at a cashy's you can get it back![]()
Board still not shown up lost to moreton bay forever, will have to learn to kite with my surf board properly now while I save for a new one thanks to people who have looked for my board.
