I haven't had a chance to post this yet. I lost my board late in the afternoon and then came down with food poisoning that night and couldn't do much besides sleep and ... well... food poisoning-like activities. Not a lucky time

I lost the board (distinct black, light blue, orange, lime green colours) quite a way out from the northern end of Collingwood Beach. It was a strong NE blowing so it should have rolled in somewhere at the southern end of Collingwood or perhaps Orion or Barfleur beaches Thursday night or early Friday morning (03/01/2025).
Reward and massive appreciation on offer!
Lessons learnt:
1) If you are heading out just as everyone else is coming in, there's no need to go way out into the middle of the bay; it's not crowded wherever you are. That way if you come off your board and your kite takes a while coming back up, you can just go back to shore, spot it, walk upwind from it and drag out to it. Easy! The walk of shame is a smaller price than the loss of a board.
2) If the ramps out back are too tempting to resist and you really must go way out back, have ten or twenty runs in close first and brush up your skills, especially if you haven't been able to get out kiting much in the past year.
3) Stray boards become harder to see once the sun gets low.
