Lost or stolen Cabrinha Spectrum twin top Shoalwater

Sorry about the long post!!
Kiting on Sun 17/12/23 and lost my board about 1430-1445 hrs at Shoalwater beach.
No dramas as I and my pal knew the board would wash in down the beach.
On the walk down beach a black and white sheepdog approx 11 months old bounded up to us. We made a fuss of the dog and then the owner walked up to us. Chatted with him a minute and as we headed off down to find my board the owner asked if we were looking for something.
Told him I'd lost my board. He then said he'd found the board and had put it in the dunes near a pathway further down beach. Told us he'd put a stick in the ground to locate.
I and my pal scoured the beach for two hours and never found the board. If anyone knows this guy with the black and white sheepdog I would really love my board back.
Maybe the guy was trying to help but if nothing else I would like him to understand kite equipment V expensive and so to just leave just off shoreline as in the middle of the day people will be searching for lost gear.
