Let go of a 2014 Cabrinha Drifter 11m at Gunnamatta late this evening after getting the death loops, wind was slightly offshore so didn't blow back towards the beach.
I assume that the kite may end up on the West Coast, tonight or tomorrow with the prevailing easterlies. Kite has been reported to the coast guard and water police.
No regrets in letting go of the kite, best to get shore safely
