Hey guys,
due to the reason that I lost my board 6 weeks ago I keep looking at the ads in the newspaper. Today I found this ad:
www.buysearchsell.com.au/?sr=true
I texted him/her, but didn't get a reply. Maybe some of you guys is more lucky and get a reply...post here if so ;)
I thought maybe this guy doesn't know the difference between wake- and kiteboard and Bribie Island is a possible location for all shearwater lost boards
cheers
That would be a huge ask for a board lost at shearwater to end up at Bribie . I would say your board would have ended up in the mangroves somewhere if someone didn't pick it up.
I reckon a board could easily travel that distance. Outgoing tide would throw it a few hundred meters offshore and the currents would take it from there.
Isn't Shearwater on the Broardwater? Unless it went out the seaway then traveled north over 100 km missing both the Jumpingpin and south passage bars then it would have to go round cape Moreton travel n/w to Bribie.
no chance of it making up the inside of Straddie without ending up in the mangroves somewhere?
Anyway hope you find your board , the question I always ask is was your name and ph number on it? Lesson for young players get a nicko and put your name and phone number on it , you will have about 80 % better chance of recovering it , hopefully someone honest will pick it up and the going rate for a recovered board is a carton of piss ..cheaper than $1000 for a new board..obviously the guy who found the board is the honest type as he has gone to the trouble of placing a found add , so if your name had have been the board he would have rung you , as it would have been easier the placing the add.
Jay.
