Thumbs Up

Possibly a good subject thread for possibly dodgy gear, being resold lost or stolen.

I was looking at a secondhand slingshot lunacy on gumtree Brisbane recently.
The advertiser had images that appeared not to be of the actual board (promo images)
Price was very good so I asked some pointed questions that any owner would know.
He offered me a even better price and to pick it up in the CBD.
I pushed further for answers to my questions. He pushed the price back up.
When seller did not know the answers I told him they were simple questions.
He referred me to the internet and Ben 10 and suggested that I was obviously not very knowledgeable in kitesurfing.

In the old days I would have just said "sorry my mistake can I still buy it" and met with him and sorted the issue.
He could keep the board
These days the internet is a better way of protecting our community. So please beware and let your friends and fellow kiters know of anything that is a bit dodgy. People who has lost gear might also see it as well.
