Hey has anyone swaped a windsurfer for a kite ?
I've been windsurfing for a while now and I am getting interested in the kits now that they seem their quality is getting better. Is it more fun ?

Gees Charles,

Sorry to tell you this one has been done to death.

General concensus is that kiting is generally more fun, quicker to learn, easier and quicker to rig and pack, easier to transport, cheaper and twice and dangerous.

I am ex windsurfer of 17 years. Been kiting for almost 9 years and can never go back to windsurfing, everytime I have a run on a pole board, it just further cements my initial decision to have a go at kiting.

The gear of today is about 20 times easier to use and safer than the gear I learned on in 2000. There's never been a better time to learn kiting apart from maybe next season

Good winds,

It will be the single most important and greatest decision of your life
Maybe not. But , you will have more fun days on the water, find progression quicker etc etc.
Ive chatted to a few people who have done the switch, it is often closely followed by the sale of windsurfing gear.
