Hey got a 2013 cab custom and was a bit wierd/really loose coming off a really flat board with massive fins. I was playing with the footstraps and put to widest stance to see if it would get more rail in the water and also feet closer to the little fins so may help the upwind. Do you think wider stance helps upwind for higher rocker boards? im riding a 144 but feel it needs so much more power then my old 138 would wider improve bottom end a little?
Widest stance kina felt a little too wide so was wondering since it is so much more natural to try tricks in your natural stance if anyone rides with the back foot on the widest setting and front strap on the innermost setting? Might suck for switch stuff but thought it would be good for natural stance stuff, any thoughts or anyone do this?
i read somewhere with no board attached i.e. in shoes "jump off 2 or 3 stairs and how you land naturally is a good width and duck stance for you".
thanks, think i put it too wide will try it out again when theres some wind, do you think wider improves upwind? also interested if anyone else who is gumby switch rides the back foot on the widest setting and front strap on the innermost setting?
You are only going to prolong your learning plateauaua.
Get even, balanced and set up for how you should be, not compensating for where you are. A couple sessions and you will have moved on and be better for it.
