Hey Just after some advice on a first kite to lean with, which kite has better handling and suitable for a learner out of a 2008 Naish Helix - 12 metre or a 2005 Cabrinha Crossbow 12m??

Thanks Brad

Keep away from pre 2007 kites depower and safety is compromised the earlier bow kites were experimental. Naish Helix would be my pick of the 2.

Dont be a tight arse and buy new. Otherwise Helix but 12m seems big for a learner.

its got nothing to do with being a tight ass mate just cant afford too much at the moment but keen to get into the sport. And ill only be using the kite on a lake for while learning and the isnt as much wind like out in the ocean.

Yep fair enuf but sounds like in a few months ur gona need a new kite. Most new gear comes with free lessons. its definately worth it. Faster progresion but up to you. A helix can be quite grunty.
