just wondering where the best places to kite in bunno are and with what winds

i notice that waksa has great features on the perth spots but has little if any about bunbury. surely there must be lots of riders down there and it pretty much gets the same winds as perth

Is there any bunbury kite boarders out there

Theres a good crew that kite the estuary and set up just north of the rock wall - first park north - these guys do a bit at the local offshore breaks when its on and further south in the summer.

Go and introduce yourself and you will be right from there

The estuary is a great spot in summer, good grass areas to set up just look for where the guys set up south of the boat ramp and BP servo i think from memory ( its also shallow, you will also need to take some sand bags with you, as no sand is readly at hand to hold your kite down. The locals use some coles shopping bags). I have not checked it out over winter, not sure wat it would be like, you can also get off the beach near the north groyne , but be carfeul as dolphins are an attraction right next to the groyne and touro boats go for a look. but you can easy go up a couple of hundred mtrs.
