Might get crowded with just the 2 of us.

Are you sure we'll get value for money.

You could get all the local kiting area councils around Aust together especially the ones who want kiting banned and get them to buy it for us before they implement the bans, then we vote them out at the council elections keep the island for a kiting camp/ resort and also continue kiting at our local
We should prepare a submission before some stupid celebrity buys it just to use once a year !

Seems we could get a real healthy return.
"Pieces of eight me harties"

It is a former atoll, specifically called a “Guyot”. This is an extinct volcano that has become overgrown by coral reefs to form an atoll. The flat top was once at sea level, which is why the summit is flat. It’s unmistakable shape, and it’s massive peak like that of a vast stone hat, dominates the surrounding skyline and is recognizable over a radius of thirty-five miles (56km) from nearby islands such as [[Kaibu]], [[Yacata]], and [[Vanua Balavu]].

''“The island was at one time bought and occupied by Joe Thompson, and American seaman to whose movements and affluence a great deal of mystery where attached. He seemingly had an endless supply of gold coins, the source of which he could never be induced to divulge; and as there was one part of the island which he would allow no one to approach, it was thought that he had buried the treasure there. The truth of the matter was never known. Thompson was insane at the time of his death, and the secret of his buried treasure, if it ever existed, died with him.”''

It is too quiet, too secluded, may be even worse: romantic...
Naaah, it's not for me, I need actoin, tarmac, the smell of exhaust gases, better in the middle of Burnley Tunnel (for those of you don't know Burnley Tunnel... you are lucky).

It is for sale!

Might just have to pop over and have a look/kite[}:)]

I'm off to Fiji in a weeks time and funnily enough staying at 'the shangri la' which is also a small island but connected by a causeway to mainland Fiji.(does this make it an isthmus? spit?)

My wife doesn't know it but it also looks like one of the best kiting spots on the planet and should work in almost 300 degrees of wind direction.

Insane at the time of death hey? Insane. Surely that's just a matter of opinion? Sounds like a kiteboarder a bit doesn't it?

How handy does that little bit on the deep water look though!? Looks like with minimal effort you could get my super yacht right up close...
