I'm tempted to say WA (partly because of the reputation and the fact that I haven't kited there yet).

But at this stage I would say a certain secluded bay up Cooktown way... Put my hammock up in the rainforest, laze around on the beach in the mornings, kite in the afternoons, rinse and repeat.

Out of range of phones/wifi, living off bush tucker, fish and the occasional hippie chick....

I havent been to geraldton, but if its reputation is acurate it would be hard to beat.

Any where along the W.A coast in december, January....South coast world class big wave kiting.South west world class big wave kiting and auzzies most famous lagoon. Perths flat water and mini wave locations.North of Perth for slightly bigger waves .Central west for the strongiest wind and small to medium waves...North west for big waves and stinking hot weather and shallow water lagoons!!!.You need to take a year off to see it all!

Totally agree, if you live in Australia and have left the country for a kitesurf holiday and haven't been to WA you are missing out in a big way, nowhere compare

Hello Craig,

Not sure if you're pulling my leg but I spent some time in 86 driving and ferry hopping from Lewis through the islands down to South Uist and over to Skye. That was a long time before I learnt to kite but I can still remember lots of small deserted flat water bays that would be great to kite.
Roger and I met Craig (Sea Breeze 'Foosdepilly') in Aceh a few weeks ago. He lives on the Orkney Islands and descibed some very good conditions there too. Tempting but oh so cold!
